Story

During this challenging period of economic transformation and widespread change at every level, it is important to slow down and take the time to reflect. The "Slow living" movement linked to the "Slow food" moment in Italy in the 90s followed by the "green movement", is both a mindset and a lifestyle. It's a way to live a meaningful and slower life, as opposed to fast and materialistic modern life. Sipping this herbal composition inviting intentionally to slow down, can also be another way to take a pause.

Moramora is the Malagasy word referring to the slow living philosophy prevalent in Madagascar. So, in this collection dedicated to the Indian ocean islands, we thought that we should naturally start with a tribute to the nonchalant soul of our native island to inspire conscious decelerators and seekers of relaxing caffein-free botanical teas. "Moramora" is also the name we have chosen for our niche perfumery house built as a unique scent sanctuary inspired by the Madagascar slow living, dedicated to embracing a slower pace of life through fragrance. It represents a broader concept that extends from perfumes to teas, offering a holistic and immersive journey.

For this composition, we used 2 plants, organic lemongrass and passiflora. In Madagascar, the most popular herb for creating calming and digestive herbal teas is lemongrass, also referred to as citronella. And like many botanicals that grow in the island, it has developed a very distinctive aroma that you will not find in the Asian varieties. It has unparalleled green lemony fresh heart notes with an incredibly dewy rosy nuance. It's a perfume in itself.

Passiflora, the passionfruit vine, comes to add an appeasing effect for its action on the nervous system, digestion and sleep.

To complete the blend, we've incorporated 3 secondary constituents: geranium, peppercorn and vanilla for their floral spicy tones but also calming and therapeutic effect.

Experience the calming benefits of our herbal tea and embrace the slow life philosophy of Madagascar Island.
